Pictures show the dramatic rescue of adorable spaniel who was stuck in the mud

Bob the spaniel is safe and back with his owner after his ordeal.

Monday morning saw the dramatic rescue of Bob the adorable spaniel who got himself stuck in the mud.

The Annan Coastguard Rescue Team, Portling Coast Guard Rescue Team and the Belfast Coastguard Operations Centre all grouped together to save Bob, who was stuck in the Kingholm quay area.

A spokesperson for the Annan CRT said: “I would also like to thank the members of the public for doing the correct thing by not putting themselves in danger and dialling 999 and asking for the Coastguard.

“Wee Bob is safely back with his owner and on his way home for a nice bath.”
