JK Rowling impressed by man playing Harry Potter theme on washing machine

A TikTok video of a man playing the Harry Potter theme perfectly on a washing machine has gone viral - and even JK Rowling was impressed enough to tweet about it.

With the help of his friend, Jason Pitts, TikTok and YouTube artist Kurt Schneider played the tune on a washing machine while dressed up as Harry Potter.

In the video, Schneider plays with the keys of the washing machine to produce the music while Pitts provides the beats.

It was shared with the caption: “Harry Potter doing laundry be like”.

Schneider said that it took over five hours to perfect the tune.

After posting the video, Schneider tweeted Rowling to ask "was this a waste of 5 hours? Let me know."

The Harry Potter author later replied: "Definitely not a waste of 5 hours.”
