Barbara Montgomery, 72, gives hours of her time to volunteer at the East Fortune Hospital canteen, as well as on the Christian Aid committee and as a church elder and guide at St Andrew Blackadder Parish Church.
Ms Montgomery is the fifth recipient of the Community Award, organised by North Berwick and District Association of Churches, which aims to recognise volunteers who have made a "significant beneficial difference to East Lothian".

Hide AdShe said: "When I received the letter telling me I was to be given the award, it was absolutely amazing because all the things I have done I thoroughly enjoyed.
"I was never expecting anything like this to happen."
Ms Montgomery is also a past secretary, vice-captain and captain of North Berwick Ladies Golf Club and a former teacher at Haddington Infant School.
Beryl Robinson, community award co-ordinator, said: "In every facet of her work, she has helped to make our society more cohesive."
