Pensioner 'critical' after garden attack

A PENSIONER is in a "critical but stable" condition in hospital after being attacked by two men in the grounds of his Aberdeenshire home.

The 79-year-old was found lying in his garden in the village of Newmachar with head injuries at 11pm on Saturday.
