Penalties for banned driver

A DISQUALIFIED driver has been electronically tagged and banned from driving for six years.

Serial offender Robert Laidlaw, of Bathgate, West Lothian, was given a 6pm to 6am daily curfew, and fined 65 for failing to wear a seat belt.

The heavy penalties were imposed when Laidlaw, 20, appeared for sentence at Livingston Sheriff Court yesterday.

He earlier pled guilty to driving while disqualified and without insurance on March 16.
