A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being knocked down by a lorry in Dundee.

The 26-year-old was hit by the heavy goods vehicle at around 8.15pm on Thursday on the A90, close to a petrol station.

Police said he sustained life-threatening injuries and is being treated in hospital.

Officers have appealed for witnesses to contact them on 101.
