Pedestrian killed in car crash near Lossiemouth

A MAN has died after being hit by a car near Lossiemouth.

The pedestrian was knocked down on the A941, south of the Moray town, at around 1.45am.

Police investigating the crash closed off part of the road following the incident. Motorists were told to use the B9135 to travel between Elgin and Lossiemouth instead.

A force spokesman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a collision investigation is ongoing following a serious road traffic collision on the A941 just south of Lossiemouth.”
