TWO men who attempted to rob a woman by grabbing her from behind and rifling through her pockets fled after being stopped by passers-by.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the attempted robbery in King's Stables Road, Edinburgh, on Friday at 5pm, and are keen to speak to the two men who intervened.
