Party’s over for man after cannabis discovery

A PARTY-GOER who organised a supply of marijuana for his friends has been convicted of drug dealing.

Christopher France ended up in the dock on his own after being caught with the £300 stash.

Livingston Sheriff Court heard police became suspicious after they stopped the car he was in.

They saw France, 27, throw a rucksack into the back seat and he appeared “very nervous”.

Michael Deacon, prosecuting, said police searched the bag and found the class B drug.

The accused told them he’d bought it with friends to share at a party.

France, of Livingston, West Lothian, appeared for sentence yesterday after earlier pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of cannabis on August 23 last year.

Sentencing France to do 75 hours of unpaid work, Sheriff Douglas Kinloch pointed out it was his second drugs conviction.
