Paralympics sparks kids sports drive
Eleven medals were won by Scots athletes as part of ParalympicsGB.
Now the Scottish Government, through Education Scotland, will provide Scottish Disability Sport with £125,000 to offer both PE and classroom teachers access to training, which will equip them with the knowledge, skills and experience to fully include disabled young people in school sport.

Hide AdSports Minister Shona Robison said: “During London 2012, we’ve seen how much sport can add to people’s lives. That is why it’s so important that all children have the chance to take part.”
Gavin MacLeod, CEO of Scottish Disability Sport, added: “This funding will allow Scottish Disability Sport to implement a programme of disability inclusion training.”
