Pandas work animal magic

Visitor numbers at Edinburgh Zoo have quadrupled since the arrival of the giant pandas.

Iain Valentine, spokesman for the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, said a maximum of 10,000 people would normally be expected in December but there had been four times that amount.

And there has been more good news thanks its famous penguin colony. Following the success of a breeding programme, the zoo has been supplying gentoo penguins to other countries, including Canada, New Zealand and China.
