Pakistan: Stoning sentence woman 'is innocent'

A PAKISTANI Christian woman sentenced to death for blasphemy against Islam is innocent, minister for minority affairs Shahbaz Bhatti has said.

The sentence against Asia Bibi, 45, has called new attention to Pakistan's blasphemy law, which critics say is used to persecute minorities and fan religious extremism.
