Pair charged with murdering ex-policeman

TWO men have been charged with murdering a former police officer.

Leicestershire Constabulary said the men, aged 22 and 24, were in police custody and would appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court tomorrow, charged with killing Paul Fyfe. Fyfe, who left the Leicestershire force around six years ago, was found dead at a house in the Rowlatts Hill area of Leicester early yesterday.

A post-mortem established that the 47-year-old had died from a single stab wound to the chest.

A spokesman said that a third man who had been arrested in connection with Fyfe's death had been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
