Our bears are really sweet: Panda liquorice created

A SWEET manufacturer has created a new product to celebrate the arrival of two pandas to Edinburgh.

Panda Liquorice has created Strawberry Bears in honour of Tian Tian and Yang Guang, which is available at Edinburgh Zoo.

The company will donate proceeds from the sale of the product towards the care of the duo during their ten-year stay at the zoo.

Panda Liquorice boss Lisa Gawthorne was in Edinburgh last weekend to meet the two pandas.

It will become the latest in a long line of merchandise celebrating the arrival of the pandas earlier this month.

The zoo shop has already stocked up with a wide array of panda-themed items, including soft toys, mugs, notebooks, keyrings, purses and bags.
