An Orkney man is waiting for confirmation of whether he set a world record for speed climbing.
Paul Gray, from Kirkwall, was successful in ascending the equivalent of a mile using an indoor climbing wall at the weekend.
The 40-year-old made 191 climbs in less than three hours at the Pickaquoy Centre. Though it is expected to be a new world record, it still has to be checked and verified by Guinness World Records.
Mr Gray has already raised thousands of pounds for the Orkney’s Blide Trust’s depression support through his challenge.
