Origins of man to be discussed at lecture

A LECTURE on the origins of mankind is being held in the Capital, as part of the Edinburgh International Science Festival.

The Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) is hosting the lecture by Professor Michel Brunet of Poitiers University, which will look at recent discoveries that question where mankind first evolved. The first African early hominid was recovered in Africa in 1925.

The lecture is on Friday, 16 April, at 6pm.
