Yes ads partisan

I notice that virtually every day now the Scottish Government is placing adverts in the
Scottish press proclaiming the benefits to Scotland of a Yes vote in the imminent referendum on
Scottish independence.

In my view, government should be above such partisan campaigning using public funds. I’m disappointed – though not surprised – that the Electoral Commission has allowed this.

It would surely have been more appropriate to have
confined such advertising to the various registered campaign groups on either side of the
referendum divide.
