A recent report reveals that wind turbine blades are difficult, if not impossible, to recycle and will end up in landfill (your report, 15 January).
This serious problem has been known for years in Denmark (where they have 4,262 turbines) and Germany (31,308 turbines) and they have not found any solution, but the wind industry propaganda machine in the UK insists that it is a young industry and they are confident that a solution will be found.
I suggest “will” is not the right word and “perhaps” is more appropriate.
In other words they hope no-one challenges their pie-in-the-sky recycling hopes. Still think that turbines are green?
