Unions v Union

Have your say

WhiLst reading John-Paul McHugh’s article (Perspective,
20 July), I had to confirm it was not dated 1 April.

It beggars belief that a regional organiser of the Community trade union, which represents Scottish steel workers, backs the Union and future Westminster governments. Mr McHugh is not only letting himself down, but is also a disgrace to the thousands of Scottish steel workers who have lost their jobs under Westminster governments.

Mr McHugh – like many union representatives – is toeing the Conservative/Labour party line. I have contacted my own RMT regional representative and advised him of the dangers of allowing Bob Crow and London-driven leaders to enter the independence debate, as it will be decided by the people of Scotland and not by union leaders.
