Sign of logic?

Have your say

Average speed cameras are known to contribute to road safety, which is presumably why they have been installed on the A9. But why have we also invested in signs (temporary?) to advise motorists that the cameras are not in operation?

Even if they are not operational, for whatever reason, the fact that they are there will make us think they are operational and we would control our speed. The benefits are there to be gained at all times.Or am I missing something?
