Poetic justice?

Have your say

Alexander McKay (Letters, 11 October) is correct when he says there is widespread disenchantment with UK politics. And all the news since the referendum, such as the disintegration of the unity of the UK parties who issued their desperate “vow”; the promise of austerity for years to come with the most vulnerable suffering the worst of the hardship while the rich are offered tax cuts, and the truth of how much oil there really is can hardly have enhanced the trust we have in the integrity of the Westminster parliament.

However, Mr McKay’s “analysis” of the situation is wrong, as the supporters of the Yes campaign will be making a positive choice to vote to put someone in parliament at the next general election. Would it not be poetic justice if the SNP were to become power brokers in a hung Westminster parliament?
