The great thing about the Labour Party is that its members and MPs are able to disagree publicly with party policy rather than parrot propaganda authorised by central HQ and nothing else.
The SNP want to shut down debate – not just opposing voices from other parties, but voices of dissent from within their own party.
Their drive is towards a one-party state with a state-run news media, all of it controlled by SNP HQ.
Vote for these people at your peril. Thank goodness for the Labour Party, freedom of speech and people with the integrity of Ian Murray (your report, 16 April).
He will get my vote every time.
