Foreign policy

Have your say

The USA doubled the size of its economy from 1939-45 as a consequence of war. The UK, in contrast, was economically ruined and left with a debt that took more than 50 years to pay off.

Our Prime Minister seems to have forgotten this lesson, but the USA has not, with many
politicians there now wanting to export £2 billion worth of arms to Ukraine, to fuel a new European war against Russia. This surely cannot be in the UK’s interest, yet our government is silent except to voice support for a Ukrainian government that sent in its tanks against those who did not support it. Imagine if the UK sent tanks in against Scotland because we want to devolve.

It is high time we had foreign policy put back on the agenda for the election and these matters properly debated.
