There is a significant minority of drivers on our roads who can regularly be seen flouting the driving laws with dangerous road manoeuvres and blatant use of mobile phones. Some of them can even be seen texting while driving.
The penalties for these offences would appear to be insufficient as a deterrent for such cavalier behaviour.
Perhaps it is now time to start cracking the whip with these offenders with higher fines, driving bans and vehicle confiscations.
