Deadly gases are different

I FEEL I must draw your attention to the error in the article by Nicholas Christian on the war in Syria (International, 13 April).

He says mustard gas is the same as chlorine gas. Not so. Mustard gas is quite different as it contains sulphur. Chemically in fact it is dichloro ethylene sulphide, which bears no relation to chlorine.
