Curbing excess

Have your say

The No campaign believes it has a winner in pushing the idea that a currency union would limit Scotland’s independence aspirations.

I would welcome the Bank of England having control over interest rates and borrowing in an independent Scotland. This would curb the excesses of the Scottish government in the absence of a revising chamber, especially if a Labour government were to be elected.

A Scottish government would still have ample powers to tax and spend in accordance with wishes of the Scottish people.
