Christ’s heritage

Have your say

With regards to Stephen McGinty’s article (“Just Another Holy Saturday”, 30 March), I say: “You are not alone.”

The Letters of St Paul, Augustine’s “Confessions”, The Little Flowers of St Francis of Assisi, Bach’s B Minor Mass, Charles Wesley’s hymns, Wilberforce’s anti-slavery act, David Livingstone’s discoveries, William Booth’s Salvation Army, Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream” speech, Billy Graham’s evangelistic crusades, Pope John Paul II’s spiritual defeat of atheist communism, the burgeoning Christian Church in Africa, Asia, China and the Americas, the suffering of Christians in Iraq, Syria, Indonesia, Nigeria and elsewhere – all testify to the living presence of Jesus Christ in the hearts and minds of men, women and children. Christ is risen, He is risen indeed. What a heritage – on which this generation in our land has turned its back.
