Bus failings

Have your say

Alastair Dalton (Inside Transport, 13 March) is absolutely correct: some simple things could be done to make bus travel easier, not least providing more decipherable timetables on bus shelters, especially when it’s dark.

He might also wish to consider how short the shelters are on Edinburgh’s Princes Street. Routinely, queues are longer, which is no fun when it’s pouring with rain.

And bus drivers could do worse than always position the door of their vehicle so that it’s obvious the queue has priority over those milling on the pavement.

If the custom of allowing the queue to file on first was ever observed 100 per cent in the past, it certainly isn’t now.
