Xmas mark-up

On A recent visit to Edinburgh’s Christmas Market, several stalls were selling German biscuits for £3.50 a pack.

Having purchased exactly the same item from Lidl for the princely sum of £1.39, I feel that even Scrooge would see a mark-up of 150 per cent as excessive. ’Tis the season to be ripped off.
