Weather warning

The contrast between December 2010 and December 2011 could not be predicted as our Scottish weather seems to run from one extreme to another, making winter services for clearing roads almost impossible to plan with any accuracy.

In contrast, the wind has been quite savage, particularly in the west of Scotland, with more wind warnings than I can remember for a long time.

Can we really blame man’s pollution of the world’s atmosphere as the cause for our strange weather or do we have to rely on the many conflicting theories from worldwide experts in this matter to explain why this is happening?
