Walk the walk

I’m sure that Gordon Kennedy (Letters, 3 June) was joking when he made it look as if I was saying that cyclists have every right to criticise the way pedestrians use the pavement (Letters, 1 June).

I was, in fact, referring to the way some pedestrians view other pedestrians’ behaviour on pavements in the context of the movement of bodies as a whole.
