United for change

It WAS great to see The Scotsman highlighting the Enough Food for Everyone IF campaign (your report, 8 June). However, it is worth clarifying that the campaign is fronted by 200 organisations in Scotland and the UK and not just the Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund (SCIAF), as mentioned in the article.

By working together, the IF campaign wants to pressure the UK government into using its presidency of the G8 summit this year to end the scandal of world hunger by stopping corporate tax evasion, which sees billions of pounds flow out of developing countries, and prevent future land-grabs by big business, which lead to poor farmers being evicted from their land and unable to grow sufficient food for themselves and their families. No single organisation or government can do this alone. We must all work together to create a more just world.
