Under scrutiny

IT ALWAYS interests me that Duncan Hamilton's weekly column appears under the heading of "Scrutiny". Perhaps "Propaganda" would be a more accurate labelling? Indeed, it may even be better suited to the political blog format.

In his second paragraph last week, he claimed Iain Gray sees his job as trying "to find something bad for the Nats". It seems Mr Hamilton sees his role as only finding something good to say about them.

It appears academic spin is clouding Mr Hamilton's fact that we Scots would be happy to vote in a referendum for an independent, but not separate, Scotland. The reality is the SNP offers neither of these, so perhaps a referendum should honestly ask "do you want to risk living in an isolated Scotland?"
