Bill Jamieson (Opinion, 11 June) has given us a brilliant and powerful analysis of the disaster of the Edinburgh trams. He does not mention, however, that the proposal was opposed by the SNP government in the Scottish Parliament but forced through by the votes of Labour, the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives. There is, therefore, no doubt where responsibility lies.
