Tram disaster

As the Edinburgh tram fiasco continues (your reports), perhaps now is the time to abandon the project before any more money is thrown down the drain.

Why doesn't the council simply accept that by digging up the roads they have enabled the utilities to be renewed, and now should fill in the holes? This project has been a disaster from the start, with no evidence of any form of forward planning being in operation.
