Time for exercise

The Scottish referendum has been about devolution of power. Now is the time to focus on how that power should be exercised.

Research from the Nuffield Foundation in 2011 has demonstrated that Scotland is only marginally more “left” than England. Therefore, how does one explain that centre-right politicians hold less than 10 per cent of seats in the national assembly and have one representative in Westminster?

Clearly the Scottish electorate does not consider that the centre-right parties focus sufficiently on Scottish issues. The time has come for a fresh party to be created, proudly Scottish but celebrating the Union and centre-right policies.

How about naming it “The Scotland Party” before Alex Salmond renames the now redundant Scottish National Party?
