SNP right to vote

The SNP may as well participate in the ballooning TV UK general election “debates” – a good mutual slanging match stirs the blood.

However, they should have the guts to put forward candidates in English constituencies if they insist on continuing with the right of their Scottish constituency MPs to have the right to vote on English-only matters (so far reportedly not exercised as a courtesy!).

As they say, tax-gathering is UK-wide, so Scotland is automatically affected by distributional changes if English-only allocations on health and education are varied – Scottish MPs have a point in wanting Westminster to address the wider implications. But then English voters should have the chance to vote on SNP candidates standing in England – quid pro quo, as it were. Sauce for the goose etc. Are there legal impediments?
