Sack the MPs
Falkirk MP Eric Joyce is in the news once again (your report, 16 March) over his expenses claims. It has been revealed that illegal claims for hotel expenses have been made, costing the taxpayer thousands which may not be recouped due to this MP standing down at the General Election. This situation would never have come about had David Cameron and the Coalition legislated on their last manifesto commitment to give constituencies the power to sack MPs, something the people of Falkirk should have had the power to do in light of the fact we have had no genuine MP representation at Westminster for years.
