Rude about Ross

MOCKING a person, especially in public, for having a speech impediment is unacceptably rude. If I, as a teacher, mocked one of my pupils in this way I would expect to be disciplined. It may well be the case that Jonathan Ross (Editorial, 8 January) is a mildly talented, overpaid egomaniac. I cannot believe, however, that ridiculing the way a man speaks becomes increasingly acceptable the higher his salary and/or public profile.
