RAF pay-out rage

Three female RAF recruits have each been awarded £100,000 by the Ministry of Defence over injuries reportedly caused by marching (your report, 25 November).

It was claimed that parading alongside male recruits forced them to lengthen their stride, causing spinal and pelvic injuries.

Is this what equality is all about or only when it suits? What next? Compensation for breaking a finger nail cleaning an assault rifle?

There are servicemen who have fought and died or been seriously injured who are more deserving of compensation.

Three female RAF recruits have been awarded £100,000 each for injuries sustained while marching alongside taller male colleagues, claiming this caused them to over-stretch and develop spinal and pelvic injuries.

Can vertically challenged males now make a similar claim for compensation, or am I missing something here?
