Poor debate

What a very badly produced leaders' debate we had on Thursday. It was meant to be about foreign policy, but there were no questions on Israel and Palestine, relations with the United States, approaches to the Islamic world, Iran, the Commonwealth, al-Qaeda, Third World problems, international environment problems, nuclear disarmament (other than Trident) or trading with China, to name but a few possible topics.

Instead, the international content was short-lived before moving on to domestic politics, including immigration, which was well covered in the first debate. Who was to blame for this – the audience, the politicians or Sky News?
