Political dance

The director of the Edinburgh International Festival is correct in refusing to cancel the Israeli dancing troupe Batsheva. What has politics to do with dancing?

I admit to supporting Israel. Yet I enjoyed a performance elsewhere of Palestinian folk dancing. And why not?

It is as if one opinion in a controversy decides to wield its control and force its sour views on its opponents.

If we support Israel or if we just like dancing, we are to be punished for doing so. Come on, Scotland, like Israel, is a democracy and not a dictatorship.
