Speed trap If the statement that Colin Montgomerie drove from Surrey to Perthshire – about 450 miles – in six hours, to pick up his putter (your report, 5 May) is correct, his average speed must have been 75 miles per hour, ie, much of the journey must have been at well over 75 mph. What a dreadful example to set.
