Peaceful skies

While I appreciate the severe inconvenience and heartbreak that the ban on flights in UK airspace has caused many people as a result of the Icelandic volcanic eruption, one remarkable benefit is the opportunity to view our skies completely clear of aircraft vapour trails. This, coupled with the dramatic reduction in noise, has made the last couple of days a real pleasure.
