Online outrage

How ironic that your nationalist correspondents were outraged at the online comments of the "Moray Tweeter" (Letters, 12 April).

On Saturday, The Scotsman printed a letter of mine critical of the First Minister's style at FMQ. The first online comment (later removed from the site) was from a nationalist who felt that it was time "McKay should be killed".

I would ask any fair-minded person what is worse: a candidate's ravings on old people and opponents, or this kind of poison?

In the past I have been told that I deserved to be beheaded "facing up, so you can see the blade coming".

It is long past time this dark underbelly of the SNP was exposed and, where necessary, the police asked to investigate.
