MAY I offer Take That singer Gary Barlow my condolences over the problems he is having with the peasants over a trifling few million pounds in tax avoidance (your report, 13 May)?

Don’t worry, Prime Minister David Cameron will fix it soon, so that deserving millionaires like yourself will not have to pay tax. After all the delightful ditties you have provided, how dare people expect you to pay tax. OBEs do not pay for yachts etc. Taxes should only be paid by the plebs!
