No to indyref II

I AM sick fed up with the SNP threatening us with a second referendum. We voted decisively against independence last September. Had the vote gone the other way, even by a majority of one, there would be no clamour for a second vote by the SNP.

Nicola Sturgeon says there would only be a second referendum if the people of Scotland demanded one. For that to happen, there would need to be a referendum asking Scots whether they wanted a second vote and there would have to be a positive result before there was a second independence referendum. I very much doubt if that is what is proposed, but it would be a democratic way of addressing the issue.

The SNP are a bit like the EU which forces referendums on recalcitrant member states until it gets the “correct” result.
