Mixed blessing

For Christmas, my neighbour gave me a decorative plate engraved with the legend “good neighbour” followed by a poem:
“Good neighbours are a blessing/
They give you peace of mind/
You never have to ask them/
They always find the time/
One such as you, dear friend,/
Is very hard to find”.

On the reverse of the plate is printed the warning: “Plate may poison food.”
