For example, giving people better access to support through the Housing Bill will help put an end to the revolving door of homelessness by helping them to stay in their homes. This support could be as simple as filling in benefit forms, to more specialist help.
In our tight financial climate, keeping people in their homes must be the priority. Better support is not only in the interests of the individual but the public purse too. That is why Shelter Scotland will continue to campaign for better support to be part of the Housing Bill as it progresses through the parliament.
