Levelling score

Alexander Mackay, (Letters, 4 June) in another, and ever more desperate, attempt to discredit the independence campaign, tries to draw parallels between the sorry state of Rangers and the SNP.

The words “straws” and “grasping” come to mind, but, never mind, Mr Mackay has frequently shown that his loyalties are with Westminster in all things. This is the same Westminster where incompetent management has produced the biggest ever debt. (Just like Rangers). Where dodgy dealings are the norm and where numerous persons are under investigation.(Just like Rangers), and where future income (oil) has been sold off for short-term gain. Just like Rangers and Ticketus.
